Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites

This hotel is in an ideal location and has been around for decades, but nothing about it shows that age. It is very well maintained, bright, exceptionally clean and inviting. From the exterior, entrance, lobby, elevators, hallways and rooms. There is a lovely pool area with both open and shaded areas. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Second time staying here in a month and it’s been really nice both times. Room service isn’t available but thankfully there’s lots of options for delivery near by and a little convenience store with everything you could need in the lobby. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, especially nice being reasonably priced for 2 beds this close to main toronto area. Definitely my go to hotel when i’m in toronto :)

We checked in for a cozy daytime stay. Yes, it’s an older hotel but definitely makes up for it with the amenities, location and spaciousness of this place - love the pool with glass dome ceiling and the traditional dry sauna. Our room was a nice temp, comfortable and sound-proofed. Bed was comfortable with nice pillows and hotel-quality sheets. Decent toiletries (vanilla-scented!) and good water pressure although I wish the water was a bit hotter. Overall, this is a pretty solid hotel for the price. Look forward to staying for the night next time!

I stayed in this hotel about a year ago but missed to put a review.Appreciation and good customer services which should not go unnoticed when the job is done right.I had a severe gastrointestinal flare up while I was in the hotel during one of my official stays last year around the last week of january .It was so bad that I was not able to make it to the bathroom.In the morning I immediately contacted the front desk to let them know what had happened and that I was not able to make it to the bathroom and it was all over their carpet . A Lady immediately came to the room to investigate the situation.The front desk was very nice that morning to not to mention anything while I was checking out and said we will take care of it.Sometimes you are in a situation when you are alone ,helpless and very sick and at this time any person or business understanding and delivering good customer service really helps.Thank you

My favorite inexpensive go to when I have to be in the city overnight. The gentleman at reception was great as was the lady who took care of me at the breakfast buffet. The location was convenient for my visit to Sunnybrook. Lots of parking, a restaurant and a store on site, clean rooms, and a pool! What's not to like?

Great staff, good rooms, clean. One problem though. Despite aggressive signage related to smoking there was HEAVY smoke and weed smell coming through my adjoined door. Didn’t complain at the time but obviously they have this problem a lot. Also, after hours shop is a complete ripoff.

beds are horrible. Bed frame came out as a sharp knife, covered with bedsheet. My wife hit that end of frame and had punctured her leg. I called the hotel office, he called the repair person in the middle of night and fixed the bed frame. My wife was with pain in the leg for 7 days. Smoking on the front of hotel door is common and most of the time. This is the first hotel in my life in north America where hotel front door welcome you with smokers. In the hotel rooms, smokers were found occasionally, they smoke in the corridor sometime and in the way down to parking area. Hotel manager Kevin, excellent person, welcoming, I salute him. Since we were staying in hotel for long-term due to fire in our building. Kevin arranged a christmas party for us with gifts (millions of thanks) and also tea party before that as a welcome party. Hotel staff was very good, no complain. Laundary machines were excellent, microwaves were good to heat food. Cleaning staff was great. Hotel restaurant was slightly expensive and but good. Tim Horton is 5 minutes walk. Underground and above ground parking was available

Stayed over last week. Room was super, heated bathroom floors, clean, lots of room and enjoy back of house view. Restaurant was delicious and plenty of parking. For the price point its definitely a good choice, I picked a renovated room. Location was perfect for me. Stayed several times in the past.
